This corporation is established by the Govt. of Maharashtra as a Company registered under the Companies Act,
1956 for economic upliftment of the persons belonging to Vimukta Jatis & Nomadic Tribes on 8thFebruary,1984.

In 1993 the Government of Maharashtra had Nominiated Vasantrao Naik Vimukta Jatis & Nomadic Tribes
Development Corporation Ltd as a Channelising Agency obtain financial assistance from N.B.C.F.D.C.
